Personal Relationships Include More Than Just Love

Christine Crotts

Personal relationships include more than just love. As a matter of fact, the “love” part in the relationship may not even be present at the start of a relationship. Many lasting relationships took off as business partnerships or casual friendships, and even from such a far-fetched starting point as mutual dislike.

Personal relationships include more than just love because personal relationships are really business partnerships just as business partnerships are really a kind of personal relationship. In business, one party needs to be aware of so many things; the potential of his partner, the needs of his partner, their separate roles in the partnership, the protocol or behaviour etiquette governing that business association and many others. This knowledge is just as important for personal relationships because unless a truthful perception of all involved, by all involved, is present the proper role for each participant cannot be determined, the proper sharing of emotional and financial resources cannot be made and the relationship falls apart in no time.

Besides knowing each other well and making the right adjustments to hold the association firmly in place, allowances need to made for change. A good personal relationship works to improve the couple. When people improve, they change. When people change, they acquire new outlooks, new potentials and new needs. It stands to reason that couples should be prepared to handle transformations in each other regarding personality, potentials and aspirations. Personal relationships include more than just love because of those considerations.

During the many crucial bends in the road leading to mutual attainment, the partners should have enough intuition to be sensitive to what is happening within each other. This knowledge will help in making the needed mutual adjustments to keep the relationship going good while at the same time realizing each other’s vision of progress. Because intuition involves looking within one’s self to try to understand other people, personal honesty is required in a personal relationship.

Personal relationships include more than just love. Besides intuition, of course, the couple should have enough morale courage to pursue the course that intuition indicates, because doing this will usually involve some form of personal sacrifice. This may come as having to unlearn some habits, abandon some preferences and in general giving up some personal gratification for the good of all. A clear example of this is willingness to leave your home if your husband is promoted to a better paying position in another region of the country.

So if you think love is all you need to keep your relationship going strong, you should think over now what you just read above. Love and bliss may be the first things we think about when we think of good relationships. However, personal relationships include more than just love and constituting the greater majority of our efforts and concern in a mutual commitment are our sense of duty and our willingness to go out of our way to help each other out.

I Can Make My Relationship Better and Stronger by Building Trust

Andrew Collier

Relationships are developed over time and so it trust. It is usually easy ton trust at the initial time but if for any reason something happens along the line to affect that trust, it may become difficult to regain such trust. Have you ever asked your self how can I “make my relationship better and stronger” by re-establishing the trust in the relationship? Even if your partner has cheated, it isn’t over yet. It is usually better if you forgive when your partner apologies. If you are the erring partner, you have apologize to your partner from the deepest part of your heart and ensure that you forgive yourself too while determining that whatever made you to stray wouldn’t be allowed to rear its ugly head again in future. You have to make up your mind to be very honest to your partner henceforth and try to be as open as possible.

I was once looking for how to make my relationship better and stronger and I discovered that truth is the most essential part of any strong relationship. Without it, there wouldn’t be any trust. Trust breeds confidence in any relationship and here are some vital ways you can boost the confidence in your relationship.

A. Ensure that you match your words with action. For example if you promised that you are going to be home throughout the weekend so as to help in cleaning the garage, don’t change it at the last minute or if anything comes up, you have take time to explain to your partner why you are shelving the earlier arrangement. Little things matters in any relationship and goes a long ways in bonding the couple together. If for example, you aren’t going to be home early after work, don’t make the mistake of assuming that your partner knows you work hard; call him or her to explain the new development and state when you may likely get home. You are what you do and if you keep things plain and open with your partner, it is going to really benefit your relationship.

B. The most important aspect of trust in any relationship is that it helps to keep each partner out of the dark on what the other is doing at any given time. Share your experiences, plan together, be open and free and don’t keep any secret from you partner. Discuss everything you think might jeopardize your happiness in future and fashion out how to live together if the relationship is going to last that long.

C. You must have faith in your partner and there isn’t any need to call morning, noon and night just to know where they are or what they are doing. It isn’t necessary unless such partner had given room for that through his or her actions.

D. At a time, I told myself that if I must make my relationship better and stronger, I mustn’t bring any stress home. There are lots of stress at work and the two of must make it a point of duty not to let it interfere in your relationship

How to Engage in Successful Relationships

A lot of people find it difficult to engage in successful relationships, what makes it difficult is you have to be a giver to fit in instead of being a taker. A lot of relationships fail because it is not founded with making it work for both; instead it may have been founded with making it work for “me”. In other words it is impossible to be selfish and be engaged in successful relationships. You don’t have to be an expert in human relations in order to engage in successful relationships. There are just values that you must have so you could be successful in relationships. And you have to begin by not thinking of yourself first, in other words think of how you can help and be useful to others.

Be available and easy to reach, always open lines of communication don’t make it difficult for a person to reach you. Take time in answering calls if you’re busy take the initiative to call back the soonest you finish the task that’s keeping you. Do not give an impression that you are difficult to contact or find, give your partner the convenience of finding you the easiest and fastest way possible.

Be generous, now this is where being selfless comes in. Do not think of what you give as an expense always think of it as an opportunity to gain. When you sincerely give or spend something to a person important to you it is imperative that you disregard the money. There are people who think that they can buy anything. You must remember that money could be earned easily but a healthy and successful relationship is something that money can’t buy.

Make your thinking positive, there are situations that are hopeless at times and our partners may not have the strength to face such challenges. It is then very effective to motivate your partner and show that you are dependable and highly reliable. Seeing the light amidst the darkness and showing your partner that you can both make it through is an excellent effort in engaging successful relationships.

Be inspired and stay focused, to engage in successful relationships you have to be inspired all the time and keep up with the changes that are unpredictable especially if you’ve just got a steady relationship. There may be challenges that you may encounter that will attack your motivation but you should deny these challenges by staying focused. Not giving up on things that may sometimes only requires simple solutions.

To make your relationship successful you must take effort and be resourceful. Working on with a relationship is not easy and should not be considered difficult as well. A relationship is not only comprised of emotional stuff, you should be realistic that while you are engaged in a good and successful relationship it has to be maintained practically, you must not deny the fact that you have basic needs and it is necessary to fill these needs so you both could appreciate the successful relationship that you have.

How to Build Relationship Trust

A relationship is a dance for two. Just as learning the right steps, the right timing and acquiring the skill to execute them is important for dancing well with a partner, to sustain a good relationship it is necessary to build relationship trust by knowing the right moves to make, when to make them and how to make them.

Naturally the first thing you need to build relationship trust is memorizing the dance routine, so to speak. Knowing and fulfilling your obligations in a relationship is necessary for your partner to even think of wanting to trust you. In other words, before you can even begin building trust you have to show yourself willing to sustain the sometimes difficult obligations implied in a relationship.

Then, after you have established whether you are going to be the principal or the support dancer in the relationship tango, to build relationship trust you need to consistently be that. Your partner will discern patterns of behavior in you to which he or she will adjust himself or herself. If any signs of change in your routine become apparent for good reason then your partner will conclude that something has come into your life that he doesn’t know of. So to build relationship trust, you need to make your partner aware of the reasons behind certain changes in your behavior.

Obviously, an important factor to build relationship trust is to avoid telling lies. Specifically, this means making an effort to hide fumbles, slips and errors in judgment. In other words, keep a mature outlook in the relationship. Be ready to own your mistakes, no matter how small. Being dishonest in even small things can become habit and can eventually lead to dishonesty in more important things and certainly won’t do anything to build relationship trust. Nobody expects anyone else to be perfect. In fact, imperfections may very often be some of the reasons why people consent to have long-term interactions with anyone. A guy can like a girl for being outspoken while another will prefer a more reserved person. It is a question of personal taste. Being honest gives your partner the chance to make allowances for and adjustments to your shortcomings to build relationship trust.

To build relationship trust, avoid mincing the truth. While dishonesty will more often apply to your shortcomings, mincing of the truth will most frequently occur to hide your real feelings about your partner. If you don’t like how he behaved with your friends, tell him in so many words. Don’t say “not really” when you could have just as well have said “no.” People like to feel the concern of their partner in a relationship, and this concern fails to come through if the partner knows you have a habit of covering your real feelings about him.

In summary, to build relationship trust, you will need first to establish your role in the relationship. Then you have to prove yourself capable of sustaining it in the long term. Avoid dishonesty, own your mistakes like a mature adult. Besides not hiding your shortcomings, be honest with your partner regarding his own behavior. Of course, you should always remember that disagreeing is natural in a relationship while being disagreeable is not, or shouldn’t be.

Advice on How to Build a Better and Stronger Relationship

The big question: How fast can I build a better and stronger relationship?

First off, I must start by telling you that every human on planet Earth possess a different character and personality. Most especially, no two people can think alike in the same way. There is really no hard and fast rules that guide the ways matters should be handled. This is so because everybody does not use the same strategy for solving a particular problem. The tips you will get from me are just the basic guidelines. They will assist in on your quest for a stronger relationship.

1. Be Honest

I believe you are aware of the fact that it can be difficult to speak the truth always. However, I have tried various techniques and have discovered that it always pays to speak the truth. It might seem rather hard, but it worth the effort. If your mate founds out the real truth and still sticks to you; it means that this person is really in love with you.

2. Do Not Tell Lies

Telling lies has been known to harm and eventually weaken relationships. It is often noticed that if a partners tells too much lies to his/her mate, a feel of detachment would arise. This is often because of the guilt we feel within us when we tell lies. The foundation of a good relationship is TRUTH. You might have told some lies before, so I highly suggest that onwards, no lie should be found in your mouth. You mate would increase his/her love for you when he/she is told nothing but the truth. Nobody loves putting up with fear (that he/she would someday find out the real truth), hence, the need to build a better and stronger relationship.

3. Show Appreciation

You need to express gratitude when your mate does something nice and you can reciprocate this act by doing or giving them something in return. Please, don’t ever underestimate whatever your partner gets you – most especially during the relationship. Nothing lasts forever. The only exception is if you are willing to make it stay. If you wish to lengthen the period of your relationship, let your mate know you really love him/her. Show appreciation for their importance and how this person has affected you.

4. Excuses

Avoid using excuses of a busy schedule to overlook your life personally. You need to strike a balance. Equal amounts of time should be devoted to yourself and your partner. You can gain support financially by working. But you need a partner to offer you emotional assistance. These two supports are very important for happy living.
